Clear Aligners (also commonly known as Invisalign®) are a type of modern orthodontic appliance. At Go Orthodontics we utilise specialist clear aligners to align your teeth and correct your bite. Unlike braces, these appliances are transparent and rely on small tooth-coloured attachments placed on your teeth instead of metallic brackets and wires, making them a great aesthetic alternative to conventional braces.

How does it work?
Clear Aligners (a.k.a. Invisalign or Aligners) utilises a series of removable aligners that slowly guide your teeth into their new position. During your treatment, you’ll also have small, tooth-coloured attachments bonded to your teeth, which help to hold your aligners in place and ensure you’re getting the most out of your treatment.
With Clear Aligners, you’ll need to wear the aligners for 22 hours per day, only removing them when necessary – like brushing your teeth and eating. This method is excellent for treating some orthodontic problems (like open bites) but they are not suitable for all problems.
Who is Clear Aligners suitable for?
Clear Aligners are a great option for adult orthodontic treatment. It can be suitable for patients of all ages with a range of unique smile and bite issues.
Clear Aligners treatments require full-time wear compliance (day and night). They are more suited to adults and may not be appropriate for all children or teenagers. Children and teenagers usually have better outcomes with braces.
